What CEGEP Calculus I covers

Calculus I is the course where the algebra stops being the difficulty and the ideas start being it. The competency behind it, 0M02, is built in four movements: determine a limit, determine the derivative function, use the methods of differential calculus, and analyse problems drawn from the natural sciences. The sets below follow that order, because each movement is the machinery the next one runs on.

Two things reliably cost marks here and both have their own sets. The analysis of a function is not one skill but six — domain and intercepts, asymptotes, increase and decrease, extrema, concavity and inflection, then the sketch that has to agree with all five — and the ministerial standard lists them individually, so the worksheet does too. Related rates and optimisation are separated for the same reason: one is about differentiating a relation you built, the other about building the relation in the first place, and students who can do the calculus often lose the marks in the modelling.

Whether your course is numbered 201-NYA-05 or 201-SN2-RE, the content is the same competency — the 2021 revision renumbered the Science programme without changing what 0M02 requires. Antiderivatives are not here: the ministry places them in Calculus II, and so do these sheets.
