University Differential Equations Systems of Linear Differential Equations — Unit Test
A full end-of-unit test, written to the shape of the real thing: 10 multiple choice and 4 free response, 80 marks in 60 minutes, calculator not permitted. This page describes the paper. The paper and its mark scheme come with the University Differential Equations bundle.
Unit test — in the bundle
Not sold separately. The printed paper has working space under every part, which is what you want if you are timing yourself.
What is on the paper
14 questions. The free-response half is 4 questions in 13 parts.
Part I — Multiple choice
- 10 multiple-choice questions, 3 marks each
Part II — Free response
- Free response 1 — 12 marks, 3 parts
- Free response 2 — 12 marks, 3 parts
- Free response 3 — 12 marks, 3 parts
- Free response 4 — 14 marks, 4 parts
How to get something out of it. Do the whole paper in one sitting, closed-book, with a timer — a test taken with the notes open measures your reading, not your recall. Mark it afterwards, and treat every question you got right for the wrong reason as one you got wrong.
The paper and its mark scheme
The mark scheme gives each question's answer and says what each mark is for, which matters most on the free-response half: on a question that asks you to justify, the sentence is the mark. Both documents are in the University Differential Equations Solutions Bundle. The Systems of Linear Differential Equations practice worksheet is free, and it practises the same unit.
Every University Differential Equations topic — the complete Solutions Bundle
One download, one payment, the whole program. For all 9 University Differential Equations units: the worksheet, the reference notes, the challenge set, the unit test and every answer key — this paper and its mark scheme included.
- Worked solutions, not answer lists — every step written out
- Covers the whole year's program at this level
- Less than the price of one hour of tutoring — for the entire year's solutions
